About me

Ritik
Thanks for looking! I’m Ritik, and this is my travel blog.

I’m an Indian who’s been exploring the beauty and diversity of our incredible country for the past 9 years. I started my travel journey right here in India, discovering its stunning landscapes and rich heritage, and now I’m venturing out to explore the world!

I first fell in love with travel on a solo road trip across Ladakh in 2016. My budget was small, so I camped under the stars and stayed in local homestays while experiencing the breathtaking landscapes of the Himalayas.

Since then, I’ve traveled across India, discovering its vibrant cultures, stunning architecture, and diverse natural wonders. Now, I’m excited to take my adventures global and immerse myself in the beauty and cultures of other countries.

It hasn’t always been easy—I’ve faced unexpected challenges like extreme weather, tricky roads, and adventurous treks—but every experience has been worth it. Over the years, I’ve been blessed with some unforgettable moments, including:

  • Trekking to the frozen Zanskar River on the Chadar Trek,
  • Witnessing the mesmerizing backwaters of Kerala,
  • Exploring the ancient caves of Ajanta and Ellora,
  • Watching the sunrise at Kanyakumari, the southern tip of India,
  • Experiencing the colorful chaos of Pushkar Fair in Rajasthan,
  • Seeing the majestic tigers in Ranthambore National Park,
  • Relaxing on the pristine beaches of Andaman and Nicobar Islands,
  • Riding through the tea gardens of Munnar,
  • Exploring the spiritual ghats of Varanasi,
  • And marveling at iconic monuments like the Taj Mahal, Golden Temple, Qutub Minar, Hampi, and Charminar.

I’ve visited over 20 states so far in India and recently started exploring destinations abroad. I’ve traveled on a modest budget, often spending less than ₹2,000/day, including accommodation and food.

I love to travel and immerse myself in the rich history, diverse traditions, and unique cuisines of every place I visit.

I haven’t seen it all yet, but it’s on my list! I’m always looking for new places to explore and experiences to share.

I hope my travel blog inspires you to discover the wonders of India and the world, and helps you plan your own journeys!
